Bio - About Me
I have experience with conventional building and have been transitioning to alternative building. My Partner Jessica and I have started an alternative healing center in the jungle near Tulum, Mexico where we will be practicing alternative healing modalities, teaching earthbag building, and holding space for community sharing, healing, ceremony, etc.

The Healing/Feeling center will be called the Yakunah Project which is the verb to Love in the Maya language. We hope to receive people for retreats, workshops and creativity from all over the world, but we also intend on having strong rots in the Maya and Mexican communities around us. In all reality we would like the Yakunah project to be a manifest(station) the will be linked to other creative communities/stations.

What are your dreams? What are you here to create? How can the AWElife community help you realize your dreams?
My Dreams are to live my life in the abundance of Love that the divine feminine is bringing into fruition. I would like to see our community unite with other sustainable communities in hopes to create a fractal of the unity consciousness grid the connects us all. I agree with the larger community template being more sustainable, but at the moment I am trying to manifest the funds to purchase land in the Yucatan to start. I would like to see the abundance of money come in my direction and I would like to reach out to the universe and ask that the right amount of money come my way to finish the healing center we are creating in Tulum and to purchase land for community in the Yucatan.
Experience, Work & Education
I have 10 years of building experience, some natural building experience (but lots of research and a good understanding). I am currently in the process of a Social Justice diploma at the University of Victoria.
Activities, Interests, Hobbies
I love building and working with dirt! I am very interested in up-cycling building materials and designing homes/structures that incorporate recycled materials that would most likely end up in the dump. I have rescue animals and love all sentient beings! I love to run and play with our wonderful dog and snuggle with our beautiful kitties. I am always up for activity, or sports, hikes, swims, etc. I love to travel and explore!

I am a wonderful cook and one of my favorite things to do is go on a hike in the woods and have a picinic.

I have something very vital to disclose to you, but I found it difficult to express myself here, since it's a public site.Could you please get back to me on:( ) for the full details.

Have a nice day

Thanks God bless.

Good question!  Our first thoughts were of a small eco community, but we've been developing it as a farm/ranch with hopes to have it be a learning center and model for employee participation. It has coffee in a barranca with a year-round stream, we planted Macadamias and fruit trees, and better grass for our horses.

It took several years of lucha to get water rights for the ranch (a well).  In the meantime, we got busy doing what we could, and got caught up in a lot of momentum that kept us too busy to really manage what we were doing by ourselves.  Now, we are virtually closing down the ranch to focus on making a good plan.  We've been promoting cooperation and collaboration in the community, but ironically, we've not been good about seeking collaboration in our own efforts.

We're remedying that now, and will either restart the ranch with a plan and cooperation, or go somewhere else.  The structures we've been wanting include a bodega (shop/storage/bathrooms) invernaderos, fish pond, a caretaker place, and a main house.  The university did a wind study, and I'd love to install wind and solar generation at the shop.  We have water and electric distribution from end-to-end.  I'm an electrical engineer and have remodeled houses among other things, so I can handle the technical stuff.  How far have y'all gotten in Tulum?

Hi, thanks for the friendship request. We are in the state of Colima, between Manzanillo and Guadalajara- in the mountains close to Comala.  I'm originally from Oregon.  It would be nice to be up there for he summer!

Hi Simon,  Are you still in Tulum?  We've had an organic farm for several years, but still have no structures- just infrastructure such as a well and irrigation.  Saludos!
